The Faculty of Medicine, FMD at the Macau University of Science and Technology will launch a new Master of Food and Nutritional Sciences (MFNS) degree program in the autumn semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The first round of online applications is now open until 19 November 2025, or until places are filled.
Cultivation Objectives
This program aims to cultivate advanced professionals in food and nutrition for careers in a wide range of sectors, including: food manufacturing and processing; higher education and research; government agencies (such as customs, commodity inspection, and quality supervision); and public health fields (like public nutrition, disease prevention, epidemic control, and environmental protection).
Employment Advantages
Graduates will possess a broad international perspective and a good awareness of sustainable development, and will master the fundamental theories, research methods and advanced technologies of this discipline, as well as understand the development direction and dynamics of the field. They can choose to engage in teaching or research work in research institutions and higher education institutions, or enter food and biotechnology companies to work in related professional fields, or develop in other areas related to food and nutritional sciences.
Admissions Requirements: A bachelor's degree in related fields such as food science, nutrition, chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or traditional Chinese medicine is required; evidence of English proficiency such as the College English Test (CET-4 or CET-6), IELTS, or TOEFL must be provided.
Application period: The first round of applications is open from now until 18:00 (Beijing Time) on November 19, 2025. Applications may close early if the program reaches full capacity."
