英國愛丁堡皇家外科學院(RCSEd)授予認可資格

The Center for Education in Medical Simulation (“the Center”) at the Faculty of Medicine, Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was awarded the Comprehensive Authorized Skills Development Center by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) in September 2016. In May 2024, experts from the RCSEd reviewed the Center and agreed to continue this accreditation. On 24th October 2024, RCSEd officially extended this accreditation, allowing the Center to continue its commitment to medical education in Macau.
The Center is equipped with world-class simulation facilities, including the first 3D Anatomage virtual dissection table in Asia, vascular interventional surgical training simulator, robotic surgical skills training system, interactive maternity simulator, ultrasound simulation system, arthroscopic knee endoscopic surgery simulator and other laparoscopic/ endoscopic simulation systems. Over the years, the Faculty of Medicine has used this platform to offer clinical skills training courses and medical academic activities for the provision of continuous professional development of healthcare professionals. International experts were invited to give lectures in areas such as intensive care, cardiac surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, neurosurgery, radiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, anatomy, pre-hospital emergency and disaster management. In addition, the Faculty of Medicine also chair the annual Sino-Luso International Medical Forum and the Sino Asia Pacific Medical Forum. This platform therefore allows the Faculty of Medicine to advance the development of medical specialist training in China, Macau and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The Faculty of Medicine hosted the Center's certification ceremony at the Macau Military Club. Distinguished guests attending the ceremony included Professor Michael Griffin OBE (Immediate, Past President of RCSEd), Professor Rowen Parks (President of RCSEd), Tam Sio Wa (Head of the Division of Tertiary Educational Cooperation and Exchange of the Education and Youth Development Bureau), Chan Iek Lap and José Maria Pereira Coutinho (members of the Legislative Assembly of the Macao SAR), Rita Botelho dos Santos (President of the General Assembly of the Macau Civil Servant's Association), Kuok Cheong U (Director of the Conde S. Januário Hospital), Chan Tai Ip (Deputy Director of Macau Kiang Wu Hospital), Edward Lai and Valencia Chang (Vice Presidents of University Hospital), Pang Heong Keong (Chairman of the Comissão de Perícia do Erro Médico), Ho Shun Fat (President in the specialty of Urology, Division of Surgery of the Macau Academy of Medicine). Distinguished guests from MUST included Paul Tam Kwong Hang (Vice President of MUST), Manson Fok (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, MUST), Nivritti Patil (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, MUST), Billy Chan (Director of the Center for Education in Medical Simulation), teachers of the Faculty of Medicine and other representatives of local medical institutions.
