Carbon Awards 2026
The “Carbon Awards” is a prestigious award organized by the GBA Carbon Neutrality Association (GBACNA). It aims to recognize organizations in the region that demonstrate outstanding leadership in carbon emission reduction, low-carbon innovation, and sustainable development. The organizing committee assembled a professional and authoritative panel of judges and adopted a rigorous evaluation mechanism. The assessment comprehensively evaluates organizations across four key dimensions: carbon emission performance and commitments, disclosures related to carbon neutrality and climate change, new energy utilization and commitments, and efficient resource use. It has become an important industry benchmark for measuring institutions’ dual-carbon development and sustainable development performance.
Winning the “Carbon Awards 2026” is a significant recognition of MUST’s achievements in advancing carbon-neutral campus development and dual-carbon initiatives. It reflects the University’s proactive integration into the green, high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area and to fulfilling its social responsibilities as a leading institution of higher education. Looking ahead, MUST will continue to strengthen its governance framework for sustainable development, drive research and innovation in low-carbon technologies, nurture environmentally conscious talent, and advance the construction of a zero-carbon campus. The University will actively participate in academic exchanges and practical collaboration on carbon neutrality across the Greater Bay Area, further consolidating its role as a model among higher education institutions and contributing its expertise to the advancement of regional ecological civilization and the implementation of the dual-carbon strategy.
