These storms not only showcase the dynamic nature of planetary weather systems but also offer valuable insights into understanding Earth’s own climate.
Speaker’s Profile: Dr. Cai, TAO is an Associate Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. He received his Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and joined the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences at MUST in 2018. His research focuses on planetary atmospheres, geophysical and astrophysical fluid dynamics, and computational fluid dynamics.

Lecture Introduction: This lecture, “Understanding Consumer Dynamics in Smart Tourism,” is presented by Prof. Jose Weng Chou Wong. It will interdisciplinarily explore the latest trends in Smart Tourism. The content integrates big data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Human-Computer Interaction, and Consumer Behavior to analyze how technology reshapes trip planning and experiences. It also reveals innovative applications of concepts like the Metaverse and Blockchain within the MICE industry. Aimed at providing attendees with an interdisciplinary perspective, it seeks to unravel the symbiotic relationship between consumers and technology in the digital era.
Speaker’s Profile: Dr. Jose Wong, Assistant Dean and Professor at the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Macau University of Science and Technology, has expertise in smart tourism, risk management, and tourist experience. Over the past five years, he has published more than 40 SSCI/SCI papers, three of which are ESI Highly Cited. He has received two awards from the Macao SAR Government for outstanding humanities and social science research, and two university-level research prizes. Currently serving as Associate Editor and Editorial board member for several SSCI Q1 journals, he is also President of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association (Macau) and actively fosters industry–academia collaboration.

Academic Lecture: The Influence of Digital Leadership on Enterprises’ Competitive Advantages: The Roles of Ambidextrous Innovation and Value Co-creation

Lecture Introduction:
Dr.CAI aims to investigate the influencing mechanism between digital leadership and enterprises’ competitive advantages. To gather empirical evidence, data were collected from 434 members of top management teams in 139 enterprises in China. The findings show that: First, digital leadership is positively related to organizational competitive advantage, with both explorative and exploitative innovation mediating this relationship; Second, value co-creation moderates the relationship between explorative/exploitative innovation and organizational competitive advantage as well as the indirect relationship between digital leadership and organizational competitive advantage through explorative/exploitative innovation. Results provide practical implications for enterprises to enhance competitive advantages in the changing business environment
Speaker’s Profile:
Dr. Cai Qihai is an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Master of Public Administration program at the School of Business, Macau University of Science and Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Government and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on public policy analysis and human resource management, with multiple scholarly works published in international academic journals, including Journal of Business Research, Energy Economics, International Review of Economics & Finance, Psychology Research and Behavior Management, and China Review.

He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Faculty of Law of the Macau University of Science and Technology, where he also serves as Assistant Dean. Additionally, he is a member of the Legal Consultation and Reform Committee of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, Secretary-General of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Legal Alliance, and an arbitrator and mediator at the World Intellectual Property Organization Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Center.

Under the new situation of urban development transforming from incremental expansion to quality enhancement, the conservation, revitalization, and adaptive reuse of architectural heritages have become crucial professional competencies for architects. By case studies in Macao and Zhuhai, these studies explore the technical challenges and research-for-design innovative applications of architectural heritage conservation, including material analysis of historic structures, intelligent detection of brick wall surface damages, restoration and utilization of ancient buildings, and urban morphology management
Speaker’s Profile:
Dr. Jianyi, ZHENG, Director of the Architecture Programs at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of Macau University of Science and Technology, Associate Professor. He is a registered architect in Macao, a national Class-1 registered architect, and a national certificated urban planner. His researches focus on urban renewal and urban morphology evolution, architectural heritage protection and revitalization design, and barrier-free urban planning. He has been the principal investigator of projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT), and the Macau Higher Education Fund.
